Angels In the Outfield

Summer is shining brighter and brighter with each passing day and I can't help but see angels everywhere I look. And I mean everywhere. The glory of the shimmer in the trees and in the windows constantly haunts me in everything I do and everywhere I go. It's amazing how many times I feel surrounded by the presence of my family from beyond. Angels, its seems are everywhere. And not just out of the corner of my eye. This spring seems to offer so many precious moments in everyone I meet, that I just have to stop and ponder if it's not something bigger than myself.
All these visions of angels, in the people I meet and the visions I see, have made me want to rejoice in the power of the white winged, ethereal beings sent from beyond to help us find out way. And who better to celebrate the glory of angels than with ceramic delights that are Precious Moments Figurines. So, for the next 30 days its all about Precious Moments Angels. Those fabulous creatures designed by the minds and hands of the Precious Moments artists. Precious Moments Christmas Ornaments

It is now the 1st of December. Outside my window I don't see a lot of snow, but if I look up into the mountains I can see a light dusting of white trimming the peaks like a blanket of down at the top of the laundry pile. I guess I have laundry on my mind. But, more so than that I have Christmas on my mind and that means going into the basement and pulling out all my wonderful Precious Moments Christmas Ornaments and Figurines.
Enesco starting making Christmas ornaments several years after the initial run of figurines debuted. Since then the ornaments have become a standard staple in my house when the holidays roll around. As I've mentioned before, Precious Moments Angels are some of my favorite ornaments to collect, but there are many others by PM that carry special meaning for me as well.
The figurine of two children huddled together with their dolls titled, "Our First Christmas Together" brings to me memories of me and my brother. We were cohorts in the Christmas morning attack on our parents. Although we may have fought like cats and dogs the entire year, on Christmas, we banded together to make sure that we knew all before we were supposed to and a brought the ruckus down to a respectable level in order to ensure that we received as many gifts as possible. By all accounts it worked well -- or at least we thought.
These days I care less about presents and more about getting in the Christmas spirit. I love getting together over warm meals and warm drinks with friends and family and sharing stories about the years. It makes it all the better when I'm surrounded by my favorite Precious Moments memories. So this year, take a look at what Precious Moments has to offer and start to commemorate some of your own memories. You'll be glad you did.

Precious Moments Christmas Angel
The only thing better than Christmas angels is the combination of angels and ornaments. Once again, Precious Moments has outdone themselves by contributing to their collection with large array of ornaments meant to make Christmas special. There are many different kinds of angels that PM makes for the season but my favorite are the angels holding starts. PM has made many of them and they form a theme that revolves around the star that travels followed in order to find baby Jesus. All of these Precious Moments star ornaments carry a special feeling for the holidays and really capture the memories that make Christmas so special.

Precious Moments Christmas Village

Let is snow, because Thanksgiving is coming soon and that means we are on to the best time of year: Christmas. Christmas means getting together with family and reconnecting with loved ones that we haven’t seen for maybe a year or longer. It’s a great time to talk with our neighbors and reflect on everything good that has happened over the last year. And, it’s a great time to talk about Precious Moments and the Precious Moments Christmas Village.christm
Nearly every year, the folks at PM come out with a few new figurines for the holiday season and every year I have tons of people looking for rare, hard to find figurines from this collection. What they come to find out like everyone else is that nearly all the pieces in this collection, rare or not, are true collectors items to be cherished and enjoyed. The series really has a lot to offer in a large scale way. The homes, the animals, the boys and girls – all these figurines are geared towards having fun and showing us what the Christmas spirit is all about.
My favorite in the series are the homes. They are large figurine pieces that the folks at Precious Moments don’t always do, so it’s very different. These larger pieces are sprinkled with detail and creativity and pack in a lot of the holiday festivities. My all time favorite is the Tiny Treasures Toyshop. What makes this home for the village especially exciting is that when you plug it in it glows! Nothing better than that.
